DM
I think by 'making cash' he meant turnover fingerz...
You don't need a profit to be getting cash in...
And according to the corporate site, Gameplay made revenues (cash in) of £23.2 million from the beginning of 2000 until July 31st 2000.
Not a small amount by any means...

You can also see from the site, that the offline section of the business is making profit.
Its the online section that makes a loss, and the loss there is big enough to wipe out the profits of the offline sales and show a net loss for the whole company.
As for the future...I'm not going there: I've got bogged down on too many other threads on that one.
:)
I hereby appoint Trajan my head of financial consulting and Luke Warmwater my spin doctor - sick em boys...
I accept the job... what is the wage?
Wage?

Damn, foiled again, I should have known that Gameplay couldn't afford me...
more important - what level of funding does wireplay get
and is this realistic considering the financial returns and other benefits that gameplay hope/expect wireplay to yeild
zsally - as i said elsewhere you needed to be at the 22nd october meeting and you weren't - the facts are not yet for public eyes and i suggest you bring yourself up to speed and then don't talk about it in public until the relevant announcements are made. thanks.
I doubt its a huge amount at the moment, as Gameplay just doesn't have the profit to invest in a loss-making enterprise such as Wireplay at the moment.
Don't forget that they have to pay the salaries of people who work in the Wireplay division and for all of the servers.
Maybe I am wrong, but that is the impression I get from looking over the figures.
If people want a really good service, then perhaps Gameplay should start charging the £10 a month that it was doing a couple of years ago.
