View Full Version : aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh BT ARE SO SH1T!
So my booked appointment of the 20th was "provisional" until the line test was done was it? WTF didn't they tell me that??? So now the earliest date they can do is Monday 23rd - not so far away you might say EXCEPT that I go to the US on Sunday for 2 weeks. Good job I bloody rang up wasn't it!!? When were they planning to tell me that exactly? While I was sitting at home waiting for the engineer to turn up?? BAH! Oh well, at least I passed the line test. Could be worse.
:/
Chods
Bahhhh. Shambles.

I'm getting it installed on 23rd toooooooo :}
Sounds like one of the earlier problems I had.
Without going into (lengthy) details, my install was postponed after a line test fail. I phone on the eve of the original install to get the new date only to be told that it was going ahead tomorrow. Then a very apologetic me had to phone work the next morning and explain that I had to take that day off after all (cancelled the previous week).
The thing that gets me is that had I not phoned the night before, Mr BTADSL would have been banging on my door the next morning after I'd set off for work.
:homer:
I'm next Wedn but it could be earlier if the man from Openworld rings me back this morning (like he promised) but I don't hold out much hope thats for sure....I can feel another ranting phonecall comin' on.......
Just for the record me, Shiva, Kali and Stu are all off to California for 3wks+ the middle of next month, we've hired a big Grand Cherokee Jeep so we're gonna have a right laff..........hip-hip-hurray!!!!
Hold that...I've just mailed this complaint to OFTEL, read on:
'After applying for and recieving an installation date for rthe home user usb adsl service of 25th Oct I spoke to a representative (Phillip Hornsby -0800-169-8639) on Tues 17thOct. I enquired as to the results of my linetest and was informed that there was no order for a linetest (even though I first registered my interest in April of this yr and was given the install date 3weeks ago and assurred a linetest would be carried out ). I was the guaranteed that I would recieve a call back on Thurs morning (19th Oct) to tell me the result of my linetest.
After recieving no call I rang the above number back and was informed that due to my phoneline only being switched on last Fri that the earliest they could perform a linetest would be the middle of next week (25thOct - the date I had been given for installation).
I'am absolutely disgusted that I was totally lied to in regards to my linetest, if the line is 'on' then surely the test can be performed. I was guaranteed the test in 48hrs and have now been told that this is not possible. Also I'm appalled by the way that Openworld seem to just lose your order details/requests etc etc.....
Also I wonder whether BT will be happy to reimburse me for the time I have booked off work for this installation date?
I would very much appreciate your views/help/response to this truly appalling situation,
Yours sincerely,
J. Hughes'
They r just un-f@cking-believable!!!
I think the time has come for lots and lots of mails to Watchdog.....it may sound silly but I reckon there are enough ppl here who are as p1ssed off with BT as I'am to make some sort of a difference.....it can only help......
