OK...this is definitely one for those who genuinely like the series, as opposed to just the lead stars :P

What's your favourite episode(s) of either show.

I'd have to go with a tough choice between Passion (Angel kills Jenny Calender), Becoming pt. II (Buffy sends Angel to hell) and Hero (Upcoming Angel episode that's tearjerking to say the least)

What are your thoughts?

Yeah becomings good but it like the episode where Buffy puts Faith in a coma and the following episode - graduation.

Passion gets my vote for being the most moving ep, but Dopplegangland (evil willow) is probably my favourite :)

I liked the Halloween one (Chaos?) when they all get dressed up and become the character they are dressed as - just to see Buffy keep fainting made me crack up. But I like Bad Girls best of all, when Faith and Buffy are dancing in the Bronze.

Bacon sandwich was well and truly dropped.

I loved the one when Buffy sends Angel to hell (wipe tear, sniff sniff). But anyone episode featuring the mayor, rocked! It was a stroke of genius pairing him up with Faith.

I'd go with the Halloween one too. not sure why though.. maybe it was Willow's 'non' ghost outfit :E

maybe I should add the one when Buffy put Faith in the coma too. That was one of the most gripping to watch.

One of the following in no order:

Buffy:
Lovers Walk (Season3)
The Wish (Season3)
DoppleGangLand (Season3)
The Becoming I + II (Season2)
Restless (Season4)

Angel:
I will Remember You (Season1)
Heros (Season1)

Yes, I know its outside of the rules, but to get a smaller list would be impossible :)
There are more I could add to that list that are generally above good.. but the above are the best.....

Couple of votes for the Halloween one then (actually called Halloween)...there's a second halloween episode called Fear, Itself showing on BBC2 next Thursday, so check it out. Not as good as Season 2's version, though.

Comprehensive list, Death, too. I agree with a lot of it, although Dopplegangland didn't really captivate me all that much, and Restless just bored the hell out of me :)

As for I Will Remember You, a slightly underpar ep IMHO, but saved by those traumatic final scenes, even if perhaps they were a little OTT.

The best crossover though, for me, is easily the second one...with Angel shouting Buffy down. Shame they took it all back in `The Yoko Factor` :(

Phases - Oz's 'outing' as a Werewolf.

IWRY was only including JUST cos of those final bits, an the whole Buffy Angel forever thing... an if youve heard the rumours then it'll mean even more....

Ive forgotten the title of another excellent ep, its the whole faith torture mad ending one towards the end of the series... intense stuff.

'The Becoming Part Two' must be the best episode in my opinion.

Death, you mean Five by Five? Where Faith tortures the living hell outta Wes?

Good episode, but I much prefer the next one, Sanctuary. Great ep!

hhmm.. toughy this...

The Zeppo - Fantastic ep, if just for "I like the quiet" :)

(I think Xander needs a bigger role in season 5, be sweet if they made him the big bad bad guy :vampire:)

Sanctuary - Angel leaping through the sky light... this is how he should be portraid, jumping through windows and off buildings, sweeeet :)

Silence (I think? Grim, help me out here :)) - Season 4 ep directed by Tim Burton. The best buffy baddies ever. Stealing all the voices so that no one can scream.

Countless others. :)

The episode you are looking for is called Hush and it wasn't directed by Tim Burton it was written and directed by the show's creator Joss Whedon.

Tim Burton definitely had something to do with it though, I swear he did.

Argh! Didn't get here in time to help you out :)

Personally, I don't recall any Tim Burton connections officially, but if you think about it, Hush is, in both style and plot, very Tim Burton-esque, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Joss Whedon has gone on record saying that `Hush` was inspired my Mr. Burton's work.

God...the Gentlemen were just creepy!
