i know windows ME doesnt have DOS anymore but i was on the gulimot site and they have new bios drivers fore my card (64mg 3d prophet gts) but the instructons say i need to do it though DOS
any ideas ?

You need a good old fashioned bootable floppy disk. That should give you a DOS session.
You can make a boot disk via the Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs- Startup Disk menu
Just edit out the unnecessary crap to speed things up.

Windows ME is still a 9x core OS, in other words it's a front for DOS still. THe difference with ME is that MS have hidden ME much better and so as a result it is pretty tough to make a bootable disk. So the best thing to do would be just to make a recovery disk as mentioned above. Remove everything off the disk, but leave command.com, io.sys, msdos.sys (the last two probably would not show up at all under Windows ME no matter what you did). That's enough for the system to boot to DOS. Slap the BIOS updates on the disk or a folder on the hard disk and you're done.
