Hi Guys

I’ve got a bit a problem that I hope someone can help me with. A mate is trying to flog me a PC, alas as it was bought in Norway and has a continental type plug (two pins , no fuse). What I’m wondering is if I can just plug in a UK style PSU cable into the port on the back of the PC and then use is okay , or am I going to send the my little box of beige into orbit trailing sparks.

Cheers for any help

How many pins does the psu have?
If it's got three pins and a slideable voltage selector then I can't see why not. And it shouldn't go skywards anyway (damn :naughty: ) it just won't be earthed which I'm not sure of the implications but the yanks only use two pins on there stuff anyway.

The PSU has the standard three pins on the outlet on the back of the PC and also has the voltage regulator switch set at 230. Cheers for the help

It'll work fine...

The PSU is basically the same as what you'll get over here - we run on the same voltage as the rest of Europe. The only difference is the actual plug.

I have investigated this as I intend taking my PC over to Sweden when I move there in a year or so.

mmmmmmmm, Swedish girls!! :E
