Right fed up with my 56k modem connection, and am thinking of isdn. This is all quite new to me,so what do i need.I was told i need an isdn card at around £50,then i need bt to install a new point for me or something, again told another £50,so is that it apart from an isp,or is there more kit i need to buy.R all isdn cards duel isdn or do i need to pay extra for this.As i said this is all new to me,and need to know the intial cost of the kit i need b4 i get myself a decent isp.Looking to get this sorted hopefully by xmas or soon after.

Hope u guys can help.
Cheers,
Mobbit.

Oh well,1 thing i just noticed in games mag is u also have to pay £40 a month line rental and even with £13 knocked off in calls £27 a month is a lot more than paying £23-24 line rental a quarter for my current ordinary bt line.Looks like iam stuck with my modem then:(

Right changed my mind again. What i want to know is-at the moment i use btfree £9.99 a month,if i get home highway, does btfree support isdn,as i would have to use btfree, until after christamas, then get a 24/7 isp.So does btfree support isdn, and if so would i have to pay more than £9.99 a month. Also i will have to get an isdn card, but thats another post.Hope some1 can help.

Hi mobbit m8, im stoned so ill be brief:

Bt internet supports only single channel isdn access (so no dual channel d/loads)

Isdn card to get is the asus internal 128-bit isdn ta or the eicon diva 2.01 card. They both fit in the pci slot and both are dual channel cards.

If you want dual channel access you need a dual channel isp im on ig click which gives dual channel access (128k) at no extra cost though performance as of late hasnt been brilliant.

for the cards buy from http://www.scan.com

For your isp decider goto http://www.net4nowt.com

if you want to sign up for igclick goto http://www.igclick.com

(Be aware they are changing their pricing structure if you use the net for over 60 hours per week u will be classed as a business user and be charged as such, (£239 quid + £50 registration) the home access is £50 registration and £30 per year for the isdn access!

There! am I helpful or what? Lol!

Cheerz Kalimera.... Btw, Hows sof m8? still good? or getting a little boring? Let me know m8, i may come back to kill u all..........

Lo kalimera m8,thanks for the info.I will use btfree with isdn until christmas then open an account with ig click.Ig click was the one i was going to use anyway(spookily enough).Anyway cheers for the info, and i should hopefully be an using isdn connection by december. What pings do u get with ig click,a m8 of mine gets 80ish on wireplay, and sub 50 on jolt.

Still playing sof,and since the release of the new patch,we have new maps and new modes of play, also bot play for offline games.Still get the old won errors- some things never change:)
Cu m8,
