178mph on the digital speedo on my Yamaha R1 (going up bank on a dual carriageway), the day I had finished running it in. My m8's were there or there abouts on a TL1000R and a GSXR750 . It was a top buzz.

And your name and address are?
Many thanks,
Scotland Yard.
Seeing as I work for gameplay and can be traced pretty sharpish, all I'll say is that if I was going to break the speed limit I'd probably get up to about 128 mph in my old Saab Turbo on a very deserted bit of road, very early in the morning and then be:
1) Surprised
and
2) Bricking it.
But of course I'd never do that.

Ah, if you're talking like that, then...
My car's supposed to be good for 155mph, but I haven't tried it yet. I reckon it'll do 140mph late at night on an open road with no other traffic around, but I wouldn't know for sure.

oops... damn keyboard it should of said 78mph.
i did 145mph on the M1 near northampton early in morning on the way to the RS owners day at donnington i was going so fast i didnt even see the police car on one of those ramps till id past it and me m8 said. luckly 1,they was asleep or 2,just couldnt be arsed @ 6am to chase me
i reckon it would have got to over 160 if i hadn`t slowed down
ps have you noticed the steering goes really light after 130mph
also you shouldnt exceed the limits of your car or your tyres
I cant drive cos im 15 but ive been in a car with some 1 (RELATIVE) going 150mph

You wouldn't happen to post on the RS Owners forum, would you? IT just so happens that a colleague just accross from me is posting there as I'm typing this... (work is great, isn't it?!!)

Goodyear Eagle F1 D2's on my baby. With a ZR speed rating, they're good for speeds over 150mph. Of course, I'll never do that, though. :)
