Qeradiant texture prob!

right in settings i have the pak0.pak clicked on and have hi textures onto off and all paths are in there correct place!

But for some reason i cant get any textures to load up....even when i put up a downloaded map its textures are not there!

i never had this prob untill i had to install i different version of KP after my first CD got scrathed and ive tried re-installing .... but no joy!

ive opend up my pak0.pak with and explorer and i notice there is no texture files in there....if they are supposed to be there where do i put them!

p.s. i have the textures in the usuall place for kp and they are there in there file (c://programfiles/kinpin/main/textures)put not in the pak0.pak file (thats if they supposed to be in there)

hmmm im very frustrated!

would getting another copy of the kingpin.def and/or kingpin.qe4 file make any difference? and what are these for?

BTW im not using Qeradiant GTK or version 3 just the latest version of the old one!

Hmm, not familiar with QeRadiant...don't like it TBH...anyway..

yep i am fluant in qeradiant done a few maps in the past but for some reason it dont wanna work now!

ive converted a lovely UT map for KP but can't texture it!

BTW it has nothing to do with the conversion as i just used the basic lay out not decompressed and converted it literally as such!


tried a new .def and qe4 but still no joy!

now the weird thing is that i even tried worldcraft and i have EXACTLY the same prob!

it gotta be something other than these programs but not too sure what!

If i was to be completely honest i am now using a warez version as my original got scratched and so could not reinstall it.....BUT I DID BUY IT HONEST!

so it maybe that BUT.....was talking to HOGIE who has the same warez version and his was ok for mapping!

mad...think i'll give up as i really cant afford to buy the game again!

p.s. by law it is a lawfull copy of my original...I have not (as of yet) got a free warez game....i don't beleive in it!
