OK, having 2 probs.
First is placing decals in a TFC map. I wanto place stuff like flag direction textures as decals but when I try and do this it says decal not found when running the map test and also they keep appearing back to front.
The other thing was with info_tfgoal. There's an option in there to change pitch yaw and roll which I assumes makes stuff rotate. Does this function work and if so how do you use it??
Heeellllpppppp!

Right, by "decals" I assume you mean textures, like a sign on the wall?
If they're back to front, use a negative scale (texture application mode) of the scale thats wrong - so, if text is apearing back to front, use a negative value in the X scale (eg -1.00), and click apply, that should fix your back to front text. To fix upside down stuff, make the y-scale a negative.
As for the info_tfgoal, well, I don't make tfc maps or play the mod, but that's an entity and they don't spin. To make a rotating brush, it needs to be something solid, like a wall/door/stick/hooj big wheel etc. Now, when you've created it, click "toEntity" and select "func_rotating". I can't really go into detail, because I'm at work, but you need to create something for the rotating item to spin around, like a thin long brush, and texture it with the "origin" texture. Then you select the thing you want to spin around, edit the flags (speed, which axis you want it to spin on etc), then group it with your origin brush. (Put it straight through the middle, picture a washer on a string, like "straight through the hole", although you don't need to create a hole for the origin brush to go through...confused yet? :E)
As I say, I can't really go into a lot of detail here, but if you go to The Half-Life Editing Resource Center (http://halflife.gamedesign.net), there are a few tutorials there I believe, or you could go to Evolution and post on the forum, there's bound to be one of us about :E (Link in my sig.)
If all else fails, ICQ me and I'll knock you up an example map.
:)
