Why o why does Dreamweaver 3 create and store temp preview files in your site folder??? Which idiot at Macromedia thought that one up? These files are taking up valuable web space!! Macromedia say that these files are cleaned out periodically (I've never noticed this) - anyway periodically isn't good enough for websites that are updated all the time.

Does anyone know if it is possible to specify a folder for these files so they don't take up anymore space.

Cheers in advance :afro:

is it so hard just to delete them?
anyway they help if you have a pc that crashes every 10 minutes.....

I prefer to open a browser and give it the location of the pages I'm working on myself, it avoids the creation of tmp files and is quicker (refresh vs loading browser).

But I've not found a way to hid them away. They really bugged before I changed methods - began cluttering up the file list too :(

Ta :)

I've given up petitioning Macromedia :hmph: to include this in a patch.
