Half-Life Probs

Why is my Half-Life reporting to me that I can't connect to any of the games because I only have Protocol 40 installed and the servers support 43, as I've just installed all the latest patches and upgraded to the new Wireplay I can only assume that I've got some sort of problem somewhere.

Please help!

hi,

if you're getting messages like that, then you aren't running the latest version of half life, maybe some of the patches haven't taken.

the latest version is 1.1.0.4, and at the main menu in half life, in the bottom right it should say v43/1.1.0.4 . if it doesn't, you need to re-patch.
