Guys
i have been the victim of a virus, contracted it through the internet. it altered my file type details, and tried sending my details to an unknown address, but lucky i disconnected in time. Now every time i try to start a program it states 'Program not found' and requires WINSVRC to open the application filetype
Now my problem is trying to alter the details on the file type, when i go to windows explorer/tools/folderoptions, and under the tab file types i see the application icon, the 'application' and 'Content type (mime)' has remained the same but 'opens with' has changed from [EXECUTABLE] to WINSVRC, how do i change this back.
i'm at my wits end, cos i don't want to format my drive cos i dont want to lose me data which i can't backup.
p.s i'm on windows 98
