I've managed to find the
Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick MS part no: 656-00107
at £62.26 inc VAT and delivery from Technomatic. ( http://www.technomatic.co.uk )
Is this good a good price? Know anyone cheaper? Is it an improvement over the previous version and is it a serious piece of desirable kit?
Answers soon please as my plastic is becoming itchy :)
I don't know m8, but I get 2 copies of Technomatics catalogue through my door every month and they seem like a bit of a rip-off, so I'd be supprised if U didn't find this joystick cheeper somewhere else.

ReKKa; agree that usually they're not the best but so far no-one can beat it.
JJ; I thought so too.
Everybody else..... come on peeps.... input desperately sought as a purchase is pretty nigh on certain.
What about folks impression of the J/S itself. Know of any reviews?
Over to you :)

before you make your mind up worth knowing that usb
does not work with aa. well mine don't anyways and i have brought one to. had to swop it though for the pro version,
but it sure does kick butt:)
Maybe they're turning into a good cheep place to buy things.
Maybe they've made budget cutbacks in other areas, so I won't have 2 copies of there lame catologue fallin' through my door :P

I take it that u mean the FF version, since my prcision pro is clogging up one of me USB ports (next to me acatel cyan stingray). Got plans for the other 3 ports - webcam, scanner, and I'm sure I can find a use for the 5th

St P; as far as I can make out from the Microsoft site, the Mark II does the same as the old one but better. Stronger on the FF and a smaller footprint. The UK MS site is pants for info. Best result was had from the MS USA site. LOADS of stuff :).
ReKKa; the joys of junk mail and data duplication ;)
TT; are you saying that the FF on your MS FF joystick did not work vis the USB port? If so, did you check the MS site regarding the 'feature' that stops them working when plugged into a VIA hub. There is a fix for it. Did you use it? Was it successful?
