Buffy Films

Anyone seen the original Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie?
I heard it sucked.

Anyway there is speculation that once the tv show finishes they're gonna make another one, just wondered what you thought the plot might be, what you'd like to see(apart from SMG nekkid) and any other comments/insults.

The film was ok.. ish.
Utterly completely different from the series.
Thing was... Joss Whedon (creater of Buff) wrote the film etc... hollywood got hold of it and changed bits to what THEY wanted the film to be like, mildly ruining it in the process.

The Series does follow on from it, but changing a few things here and there (in the film Buffy got ahem... "lady pains" whenever a vampire was close... and their was only one watcher, who was an immortal man who trained every slayer.)

Can't imagine another film after the series... and personally I don't think they should make one :tongue:

What is interesting to watch though is the Buffy Pilot, thank god they changed to using Alison Hannigan (sp?) as Willow.. :)

Another film now would be a mistake, but perhaps after the TV progam finishes for good, they can do what the Star Trek people do, and make them like that..

I managed to find a real media version in about 6 or 7 different pieces on a web site. Quality was crap, but it was pretty good to watch :)

Hi ,

I saw the film when it came out origionally and have to say i quite liked it. Obviously it doesnt stand comparison very well now. I did get it recently and have to say still enjoyed it.

film was okay, comedy action, but series was a little better and has blossomed into a cult series :E

I thought the watcher was not immortal, but was born into each generation, to train each slayer....
spend their lives finding the girl to train etc.
they remember their past life though or something
