i moved my graphics card and modem into different pci slots but now my onboard sound isn't being detected by windows
anyone know what part if the regsitry holds the device manager list so i can redetect the whole lot
If it's device manager u want then right click on my computer and go to properties, then click the device manager tab.
um u do have the intergrated sound still enabled in ur bios?. Have a look around in there to see if there is anythingy weird....

yeah its all enabled in the bios :)
what i want to do is clear the whole list by deleting the registry folder that holds it but i don't know which folder it is :(

why don't u move them back again?
failing that, it might be an irq issue, u could try changing the irq for your sound in bios if it will let you, and try in windows also.
try updating your bios as well,
if you want to redect, just remove them through device manager next time u boot up it'll reinstall the device, but if it isn't seeing it in the first place i doubt deleting parts of the registry will help
