banner free, FREE hosts???

does anyone know of any good hosts that are free and provide cgi access?

Hosts like this are hard to come by nowadays without paying for it and if you do find something it will have a banner ad or summin like that in the clauses.

Virtualave do this sort of hosting, i remember the days when ads only appeared when you ran a script using cgi. Now they show ads when u load up the site and then its a massive ad :(


so if any of you have come accross a good host that is FREE, as i have no method of payment over the net available to me, could you please tell me bout it thx :)
oh it would help if it had cgi access :)

Freedom 2 Surf (http://www.f2s.com) - Basically the same

Both are free with no banners

have you even looked BuzzinHornet. 3 of the bigges GSPs in the country offer exactly what you want:

they r 100% free, CGI,ASP blah blah

m8 i think you'll find that all 3 of them require a banner, or do they?
Come to think of it Cow is probably right, The Sprite Network (http://www.sprite-network) is probably the best

ta ppl, i could have looked at the game sites but i need hosting for a car site and from past experience, games related sites host games related pages. :)

i signed up with sprite yesterday on recommendation from some1 :)
tis looking good, i might check out that uk linux one too

uklinux is good but only 20mb space, Sprite has Unlimited webspace i think, i dont know what that really means, does he really mean unlimted or is it like 100mb ?
