The game just kept crashing tonight, thought my DSL connection would make for a stable host but it didn't :(

We managed to get one good game in (well played MSD and RedKite) but generally it was the same old story...

Crimson Skies MP is pretty damn unstable.

Dropped players, games crashing to desktop, white screens on start-up it's enough to make a guy :mad:

Anyway hopefully we'll have the new patch by next week and that'll improve stability a bit.

Not to worry Yowie m8y wasn't anyones fault.

No news on WHEN the new patch will be ready, however they have announced that it'll be just under 5 megs, and the fixes they list just so happen to be the ones we came a cropper with tonight...

I'm gonna try not to build my hopes on it too much just in case, but fingers crossed anyway. :)

Wasnt your fault Yowie no probs there m8, we just keep on trying. The game is so much fun its worth hanging on to the patience for a bit longer. We have had some cracking games so far, and we still will. :D
I've taken an account with claranet, who are a pretty stable isp, and i'm gonna go 128k isdn for hosting crimson, just to see if that can help stabilty.
But it couldnt have been that bad tonight cos Slam spent more time in the air, than on the floor :laugh:
Oh and Yowie next time join us on GV, its a hoot :E

Slam :) that red screen you were getting in the game is "red out" caused by a sonic rocket, it doesnt do any damage, but you cant see where yer going whilst the screen is red .....right :laugh: you can configure your rocket hardpoints under the ammo tab in the game lobby, theres all sorts of tricks and goodies in there, try some.
Oh and it was me firing em :P

I gave up messing around with rockets after unfortunate mishaps with the flash rockets.

I was presuming the red screen was a red out from me turning towards the ground too quickly :laugh:
