ok... I am going to get a new mobo (one that supports AMD duron/Tbids), and i need to know a few things...
firstly - how do i know if it will fit into my current tower case? (its a packard bell pulsar c300 case)
my current mobo is form factor uATX 9.9x8.8 inches.
next...i will need a new powersupply at 300W, but how do i know if that will fit ok?
lasly...would i need an extra heatsink/fan to support a duron processor at about 650Mhz? or does it all come with it?
have a missed anything else?
thanks a lot for any help.

Your current mobo has the magic letters ATX in it so it should fit in your current case.
It's also called a pulsar c300 case, are you sure it's not a 300w psu anyway? It should have a largeish sticker on the psu stating various figures and this may provide more info.
If you buy the chip on it's own it's obvious what you'll get but some companies sell them as a kit where you get a fan aswell, you may also want to invest in some thermal paste such as the Silver arctic stuff, it's only about £5.95 I think.
Memory... Is it currently 168pin dimms? if not you'll need an upgrade here aswell.
Sound... is it onboard or a seperate card?
Everything else should swap over quite easy.

well i have a packard bell from a pulsar23 machine
my atx board fitted fine but the 300watt psu i bought didn't :(
there is a piece of metal/plastic blocking where a generic psu would fit so i would be wary about that if i were u
also my case doesn't have a fan socket behind the cpu

my current ram is 168-pin, i have heard that the power supply doesn't always fit in PB cases, :( if my current power supply is 300W will it be ok for a new atx mobo with 600-800 processors ? (Duron/Tbird) or do you have to buy the amd aproved powersupply? cause i dont think its gona fit.
Infact , whats the lowest you should have with a duron/tbird 600-800 processor? 240W or 300W?
thanks for the help
