I use bog standard Asault

I seem to get best results with the silenced MP5 and the FAMAS

USP (or is it a socom?)
UMP
FAMAS

However if there's a HK21 lying around I'll grab it and wreak some (comparatively) high speed havoc.

I'm gunna have a bit of a play around tonite with different classes

I was reading the frontline force webby - and i may try Recon class with MP5/sniper - for those speedy capture moments when attacking and headshot city when defending

Here's a little warning, don't try for headshots, it's REALLY hard to get consistant headshots.

Have to concur about the headshots...i'm not a bad sniper at all in CS but I have real problems getting headshots in this...besides I like my Famas too much...try the silenced Mp5 is wikkedly accurate an excellent when you are sneaking around the capture points in village...;)

you can snipe with the Famas, but its hard. More than one rebels been decapitated by a well placed burst from the mansion on village. :E

Yep is good when you pull that off....only problem with the FAMAS is the massive muzzle flash...is really hard to use when playing flf_snow...

yeah the FAMAS is a quality weapon

But is it just me or does the clip emtpy in like a second ?

Famas does have a VERY high fire rate, but it seems to be more accurate than the AK5 on full auto.

AK5 has a BIG clip though.

Probbly best to use it in bursts....but is easy to get carried away, and empty it in 0.5secs ;)

The problem with sniping is that your accuracy decreases when you are away from your team mates - so if you are sniping all on your own you'll have major problems getting enough accuracy for a good head shot.

Yeah I noticed the same thing Skunk, and sniping when all your team mates around isn't exactly stealthy....

NEWBIE QUESTION ALERT!!!

Is it possible to change weapon config or character class during map?

Aye mate the default key is V, brings up radio etc, but settings at the bottom to change class, weps etc

yeah - using console commands

changeclass - enables you to reset your guy up
changeweapons - reset your weapons on respawn
changeteam - change team

There may be binds for these - I'll check it out tonite .

do does the class effect your accuracy asn well coz i couldnt seem to hit the backend of a bus with the colt but the mp5 was fine ???

Not that i'm aware - but i could be wrong ( and often am :E )

But there are class modifiers - if a Support guy pics up a sniper rifle - hes gunna suck with it

and if recon picks up a HMG then hes gunna be a bit cack

Fave set up:
Assault
Pistol number 2 (god knows what its called?)
FAMAS (eats bullets like.... errrr... something.... that eats something else.... really quickly, but ya gotta love that power)
Silenced MP5 (if for the sound than nothing else)

my fav map is Job
though I like lombardi and snow for the challenge of taking the last point
actually i like fox too
hmmmm i like all the maps come to think of it :)
bier is a bit too dark tho


Ahhh there's a nice little community going atm, wonder how long it'll be before the idiots that spoiled cs will move into this

yeah sorry about that night m8 - i was using wireplay software so i kept bombing every 2 bloody minutes !!

but i shall be on saturday morn if you're up for it ( i;m downloading firearms tonite so i doubt i'll be playing

im with u on that one m8. The FAMAS with controlled burts takes out most people with ease. Although from reading on in this post ive found out u can get diff weps!
