I tried playing with the GP client software and it kept crashing me to the desktop, so I switched to using the IP's of the individual servers, and have had no repeat of the problem.

Server IP's

FLF1 212.162.240.45:37015
FLF1 212.162.240.45:37016
FLF1 212.162.240.45:33333

I had the same prob, kept crashing whenever I used the radio commands...think it is probably related to the issue they had when launching from Gamespy...

I know there are issues when using Kali too

But seems to be ok with Gamespy

you need to add the command line

-game frontline

in the additional parameters section of the half life setup..

Stoped the crashes for me anyway, before that the voices of Gordan Freeman and a few scientists kept appearing before a crash...

Reality - can you remind me how to do that ?

quicker than I though (saves me typing it out again though, can just shorten and edit it :) )...

Click in the half-life section of the games tree (far left column ). Then click on setup (second button from right over where all the servers are listed). Then in the additional command line parameters add the line.

-game frontline

Click on save, and then hopefully it should stop the crashes. (like I say, it has for me)

[disclaimer]There are several mods all grouped together under the half-life tree (firearms, s&i, AHL and plain old dm..), not sure how it will affect these... Shouldn't be too much of a problem though unless you already have a command line in the additional parameters for one of those mods.[/dislaimer] ;)

That command line wont affect TFC or CS, they have their own setup thankfully :)

/me waits for someone to tell me it doesn't work :)

Yeh I had the problem of crashing, I was a few mins away from reinstalling half life before someone told me it was wireplay's software
oh and i heard the freeman voice too.... **** myself actually, still it gave me another excuse when i died "the only reason you're still alive is because the voice of gordan freeman in my head told me not to kill you", then they all called me crazy..... haven't the faintest why tho :P
