Lo m8.

It is possible so long as your old motherboard can support the core voltage requirements on the newer FCPGA celerons - 1.65v. The older socket 370 celerons are 2.00v
You'll probably have to flash your BIOS as well to get the proper multiplier and you'll need a Slocket converter to convert from Slot 1 to whichever socket you choose to go with.

Hope this helps a bit :)

Thanks m8.
Got any ideas where i can get a slot converter??
Also the mobo only about 3 months old so the voltage should be ok right??

Not necessarily but probably ...

Check the manual to be sure - if you dont have a hard copy, the manufacturer should have one online.

I got a converter from a computer fair for 7 notes, you would probably be able to get one from dabs though (in fact I remember seeing one there but it was about £15)

I'll get you yet you lpb :E
