I am seriously thinking about doing some distance learning to enable me to get a foot into the IT industry. I can't go to college / university simply cos i'm employed full time and have commitments.....

I'm looking at a course run by computeach called business systems analysis and design. it also involves an advanced option of progamming in 'C' or 'COBOL'

The course will cost a fair bit of wonga (for me anyways) and i was wonderin if any of the regulars in this forum have experience of computeach and their courses?

Are they of sufficient quality to gain me a foot in the door, or should i be looking at a different route?

If anyone can share an experience or knows of someone within the industry who has got there via computeach, let me know. It is a pretty big step for me so any opinions will be appreciated.

Many thanks

grizzo :)

hi mate- i assume you wanna get your foot in2 the programming door(?)

IMO as long as you can programme in "C" or waht ever you wish to specialise you can get a job. Qualifications may not be necessarily important. i advise get a good book and learn from that.
