I just got this thing from overclockers, and god it kicks ass. One of the best cases I've ever seen.

Theres a problem though, the PSU doesn't work (or doesn't seem to). Theres current getting in there through the kettle plug ( :) ) but when switched the internal fan in the PSU doesn't spin. I also plugged in two of the sunons and they didn't work either.

There are only 2 switches, on/off and voltage selection. Both were in their corrective positions.

So, have I missed something, or do I need to have it replaced?

I only tested it with the fans because I always test stuff first, as then if something goes wrong, I won't be too stumped whats wrong.

The first thing I checked though happened to not work :(

:bigcry:

*mumble...*

Im sure the motherboard sends a signal to the PSU to turn on the PSU, or something like that :D

So connect it all up, and try it.

yup you need to have the motherboard plugged in, with the case on/off and reset switches attached <sp?>

as said it needs the load from the motherboard to start, and a signal from the mobo.

BTW i've got one too, a really really nice case (mines lit up with some lights behind the front plastic bit)

:{

oh dear oh dear.

In my haste, I fear I may have busted it. Stupidly I, urm, set the PSU to 115V. Something went flash.

Now I fear I've fried the bloody thing. I may get round to setting it all up later. Any suggestions.

Off to a bloody great start I am :(

Send it back and say it was DOA, just hope they don't read these boards :naughty:

Success!

After a bit 'widgeting', I found that the kettle plug was busted, so a quick fuse replacement later, and electric tester down the sockets later, I had a power cable that worked.

Now, I saw something flash inside my PSU, yet when I connect up the power cable and switch it all on, I can distinctly hear a faint electrical hum.

Could it be that it is not busted? I've got my mobo fitted now, but I still ain't hooked everything else up.

Surely you don't think I'm stupid :P

ok. please help.

I've got most of the stuff hooked up. Mobo, floppy, HD, power cables, case leads hooked up.

If the PSU is fine, it ought to work now, right?

Right?

yup, just make sure the mobo is not shorting on anything (did you put the covers on the extra mobo supports, the 4 shorter ones?)
