I've been hooked on FLF since downloading it 2/3 days ago. The teamplay aspect is phenomonal, quite simply you can't win without the use of teamwork. I was amazed to see how much people actually work as a team, even on publics, its a crazy set up but it works! Unlike in CS one guy can't win maps by himself, you need teammates assistance, it requires a number of teammates to take down an enemy defence and then provide cover for the guy taking the point. There's nothing more satisfying than launching a huge team attack and taking the final point with seconds left on the clock. I can see this game eating massive chunks into my online time, I've already been neglecting CS and AQ2 :)

Infact my only problem is the first round..... by the time a map loads the attackers waiting time has already finished and the defence have had no time to get into position and so the attackers (unless they're a bunch of imcompetents :E) always take the first round with ease which kinda spoils the game :/

Cyas around on the WP servers

"I was amazed to see how much people actually work as a team, even on publics" well youve obviously found the right servers the wireplay ones dont have any :(

tema m8s wont cover you when doing a command point they would rather let you be killed and then get it for them selves there is little on the wireplay ones with people ignoring any sort of status or information its very hard on the wireplay ones to get anyware as a team the other servers ive found are great as there is team work on them. wireplay it seems to be a frankstine game of DM

Seems like you've been rather unlucky with team mate choice

but its the same as any game

some people are glory hogs out for the kills but others actually try and help their team mates actually complete the objectives

I've got hooked up with a couple of quality team players the other nite - and we had a great game

Good tip - try and get a mate to come into the same server so you've always got someone to watch your back

Is a good point Si_Se, as long as there are a few people on the server that you recognise, you will have much more luck getting the teamplay aspect going...I used to have the same thing with TFC, but after I got to know quite a few people you can pick a server where you will be able to team up with people...
Anyway wehn I go on tonight I expect to be well covered..;)

It is quite mad isnt it. I was playing on the snow one, with the minefield. The last point to be captured was there spawn point.

Our whole team went in wave after wave, chukcing grens in through the door and letting loose with Plenty o'Fire (TM) but they just dug in and kept us back. The whole point of the game is so simple its mad! Half the people on there were playing there first go (including me) and they just defended until the timer ran out. Playing as a true team. A classic gaming memory for me.

Fingers crossed u will never hear monas of "ffs camper tw@t" in this game as that is the whole point of the game!

Love it

no such thing as camping in a game like this - only tactical defending

if theres a point that you need to protect - are you really gunna run to the opposite end of the map ?

i doubt it

tatical defending at its best.

the only problem i have seem to have is that if your capturing a point they wont defend you let you die and then they kill the nmes and get the points for the cap...

Thank god Team damadge isnt on that would be hell then . This is how Q3 ctf was at the start people would Shoot the guy comeing back to base with the flag and thentake it for them selves for the cap.

its a fun agme i wont deny that just that the team setups are a bit odd and the fact that no matter what class you are you ca carry any weapon :( dont see the point in the classes then just get the Assult and kill a suport guy to get his gun speed plus big gun.

Avanti map though is the best manily cos of no map erros but the spawn point can be spammed with greanes so the attackers get bustedfast.

that is one thing ive noticed the spawn points are easy to get greandes or get into them on most maps :( that is a pain as you can get killed as you spawn they need doors and better SG's

Yeah but they get chewed on by the SG's and those guns have along range and fairly high accuracy.

You can go assault and then use a support's gun, but you will have piss poor accuracy with it, the accuracy of a class using a gun that isn't built for them is dramatically reduced. And don't forget that the different classes take the points in different times, aswell as the fact that they can take different ammounts of damage and move at different speeds, overall there is quite a big dif between classes.

Oh and as for the gren spamming, its only really bad for the first wave of the attack, having only one gren the defence can only really do it once, then they get killed, it takes 20+ seconds for them to get back to the spawn, by which time the attack have pushed forward so its not really too much of a prob.
