Need advice on buying a PC...

My mate is buying a PC and is making a choice between 2. An athlon at 800 and a Pentium 3 at 800. Both the machines are the exact same price and spec, he wants to know which one to go for. The athlon machine comes with other bits and pieces free with it whereas the P3 doesnt.

Which one should he go for?

Id say go Athlon, beacause of all
the free bits. The P3 will give you
about 5-10 xtra FPS in games and
maybe a few milliseconds in Windows
and applications. Get the free stuff!

Gotta agree with Hades, depending on what the free stuff is and the total price cos an AMD 800 should be pretty cheap compared to a P3.
