FLF keeps closing????

wondering if someone (anyone) could help me here.

Had a few brief sessions of FTF, seems very good but at random times (sometimes 5 secs, sometimes 20 mins) the game just closes down? No error messages, it just....closes! Goes back to WP3 and i can just jump straight back in.

Pain in the bleeding arse as u can well image at an average of 5 mins a kick :(

Any idea how the hell to fix this?
I doesn;t happen on CS, or TFC :/

put -game frontline in the other settings feild in the WP launcher

that'll fix the droping to the desktop, as for the lag - which ISP?

thanks it did stop the dropping. The games still near unplayable because of the lag though :(

admitedly i was using BT 0800, but i still get v bad lag (spikes of 4000+, average 400) on cableinet, yet i did not re-connect, went straight on CS and got a ping of 180-200.

So the connection seems fine, its only FLF where i get the lag?

about to try WPD but i expect to get the same result, so could it be the modem set up i have?

(i've got a good modem, supra so.....)

do a traceroute mate, easiest way to find the problem, and possible soloution..

oh, two of the flf servers are on one netfeed, while one is on another - maybe your having problems with your routing to one of those, but the cs servers were on the other feed (if that mad sense:) )

i can now play with a reasonable ping on 1 server, but the other 2 are awful which fits in with the network :)

Dont you just love that submarine map....last night i rushed up the lift to the attackers spawn and got shot to pieces by those sentry gun thingies :)

yeah i am getting the same crashing back to desktop with WP3, gamespy and when i log straight into the server through the console in FLF!

Any ideas?

Drop thing should only be with WP software, need -ingame frontline as mentioned earlier, Gamespy should be fine.
Did same with me so I dont use the WP software now.

Jen: as for enemy spawn on job map you can actually reach the attackers spawn just b4 the timer runs out.
Use a grenade and you can take almost everyone out b4 you die :)
