having missed the first episode of buffy on its tv premiere i decided not to watch it cos i thought id have missed out

since then ive caught a few episodes and it looks pretty good- as the dvd first series is out tomorrow then maybe you can convince me to buy it

tell me about it (i know the extras)
how much will it cost?
do you get the FULL season 1?
why is it so good?
as an outsider is it worth buying?
what qualitie has it got to make it rewatchable- hence warranting a purchase?
is this the best series?
