Woo - a Young Ones quote - what a truly great series that was :)

Anyway, having just started mapping myself, I'd thoroughly recommend the following:

http://www.planethalflife.com/wavelength

http://halflife.gamedesign.net/

http://www.karljones.com/halflife/almanac.asp

Also, http://www.mapfinger.com was interesting - seems to be a repository for information/updates relating to current mapbuilders :)

Got quite a few more, but for an introduction the top link's tutorials are nothing short of superb :)

Have fun

hehe - I KNOW I'm getting old - 'cos I can remember going to see Rik Mayall and Ben Elton at a "gig" during the 1984 miners' strike :)

Aye, them were the days.

Right, off for me cocoa...now where did I put me slippers?
