PLZ HELP ME ISDN SOON

umm im getting ISDN soon [w00t!] and im confused about the adaptors. I understand that the ASUS card rules and the eicon diva 2.0 is good, but i here often of probs with the ASUS...which 1 is most reliable and will get me the lowest ping using bt free call in counterstrike? Can any1 plz tell me exactly what the engineers do when they install the ISDN plz? I would get adsl / cable but cant where i lives.
ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED :)

Get the ASUS card http://www.solwise.co.uk the cheapist one (£30).
The eng just sticks a box near yer PC, wires it up then buggers off :)

if u have no isdn card then i recomend the asus simply on price.
the unreliable rep seems to come from some people who suffered a bad batch of cards and others who couldnt install the drivers(judge them not lest ye be a monkey too).
the eicon is a v good card if a bit dear.
and everyone will tell you the speedway is crap.its not it just shipped with drivers on a par with princess di's.
the new drivers make it an acceptable choise.
so in summery(even though it is nearly xmas)go for the asus its cheap and cheerfull.

ok..how do install the drivers probably then [i really dont wont to screw up!]? How do i know if i have 1 of a bad batch or cards anyways? Any help is much appreciated :)

i just put the card in the slot
fired up the poota
did the have disk thing
and it worked
that said after about 6 months i swapped it for the speedway to do a comparison test.
im now using the speedway and a friend has the asus card.
game pings are the same or 5 or 10 higher downloads are faster and it comes with modem and fax emulation thats easy to use.
money no object buy the eicon diva thing at £150 ish vvvgood

umm, too late i have the asus card now :) THe engineers come on the 5th January..im counting the days :) THe eicon diva 2.0 is £50 last time i checked! R the new asus drivers any good? i just downloaded them.

I've tried several ISDN TA's as I'm in the business. IMHO the best gaming one is the Asuscom ISDN PCI TA. The USB version is not as good and the external is too expensive and defeats the objective when restricted to a serial port.
New drivers are good. I would use these not those on the cd.

no i mean the diva pro its an active card and is about £150 of your earth pounds.
the pasive diva is also a good card and is about £50.
