Its hard, even on a mini ramp. I was skating there for nearly 2 months and i only just learnt a rock fakie. HARD. I'd hate to go on a full vert...

Mini ramps look easy to ride but in fact they are very hard to get used to. You need to have some good balance and some balls.
Mini ramps are the same as vert i guess, but they are a lot smaller so you dont bend your knees as much.
First off, i'd advise you to wear knee pads and maybe a helmet, but if you are starting off, then definitely knee pads. They build confidence, and i have never gotten hurt while wearing knee pads :)
Drop in's look easy as well, but damn they look scary when you get up there. My advice...
Just do it. press down. Dont think, just do.
Anything else you want to know, just ask :)
i went i saw I thought it was pants :(
i was looking forward to it but here was a big puddle in the middle and all the rivets were missing.
its rubbish its a crap surface all around it.
anyway, i managed to pull off one ollie above 5 inches and raised my ollie status to 1 in about 15 lol, i suck

Nah Mini is quite easy really just takes some guts.
I Luv em coz dats wot im best at,
Back2Back tricks but without da scaryness and air of vert.
Good for practicin street skillz to coz you can learn all da grinds easier. There is endless possiblitilys to tricks.
I wanna Learn to get some air tho.
Gonna have to give vert ago one day.
gonna sh1t myself on da dropin! :{
You cant really hurt ya self dat bad on a mini aswell well i can seem to aviod bad stacks on them neway.
Vert is totally different on injuries can kill ya self :dead:

I agree Mini ramp takes guts, but its not too easy, especially if youy are just starting out and its the first thing youve skated. If youve skated street before, you'll find it a lot easier :)
Dropping in is the hardest thing to do when you just start out, i was just pumping up and down for nearly 2 weeks before i started thinking about anything else. I just thought if i stuck that so i could do it every time, other things wouldnt come as such a challenge.
I borrowed various pads from people until I had Knee pads, Elbow pads, Helmet, wrist pads, arse pads, shin pads and just about every pad in existance, then I went on tha PS park vert ramp a couple of times when it wasn't very busy, admittedly it is very stupid to do that when you are just starting skateboarding but now I can do the smaller ramps so much easier, fear is what made me fall off of quarter pipes a lot :D
And Vert ramps don't hurt too much more than your pride if you are covered in about £200 worth of pads :E
Still, I wouldn't reccomend it unless you can get your hands on really good pads for most of your body and you are a complete nutter ;)

Oi izzie, if you want to know the sort of stuff i like to skate, Look at the fun box typed thing at the top right hand corner Of the park, to the right of the big thing you roll down. I skate that loads, its really fun :P
