I liked 'One Foot In The Grave' but my favorite sitcom is 'Only Fools and Horses'. I don't think there are many/any sitcoms around which are nearly as good.

Father Ted cannot be touched - its funny, but some bits are scarily realistic

Also I take it that the league of Gentlemen does not apply ?

I was referring to BBC sitcoms, but 'Father Ted' is one of my favorite sitcoms.

Is 'The League Of Gentlemen' a sitcom?

Here is my list of BBC sit-coms that are, in my opinion, hilarious! Open all Hours
Porridge
Fawlty Towers
Only Fools and Horses
BlackadderI must admit though, that all recent sit-coms (BBC or ITV) have become very poor. They don't make em' like they u.....etc, etc

Alan Partridge is a top comedy, You can see episodes of it on UkGold sometimes, Saturday nights i think..

Some of Steve Coogan's other stuff is quite funny also.
