Right. I have the following...

Asus P3V4X mobo
Radeon 64MB
Zonet ZEN3200 Fast ethernet adaptor (cheapo NIC)

This machine is on a LAN sharing an ADSL connection.

On my initial install of the radeon the setup crashed and generally ****ed my system. I reinstall windows. When it comes to install the drivers and associated apps all seems fine. However, when I install my network card this installl also seems to go wrong, as afterwards, on windows start up, several .vxd files are missing. I transfer these over from the other machine on the LAN with disastrous consequences for my registry, which completely packs up and asks me to restart to fix errors. First in blue DOS screen, then in windows. Then in DOS, etc.

Reinstall time No. 2.

This time I install network card first. All works fine and dandy. On Radeon install there is an ikernal32.ddl error when installing the multimedia apps. This proceeds to **** my system. Explorer crashes often and other small things crash less frequently.

Reinstall time No. 3.

This time I install radeon first. Just the drivers, nothing else. The system is still dodgy with explorer still crashing. Also blue screens of death.

Reinstall time No. 4.

This time I get a blue screen IN THE SETUP FFS!! However seems to restart and carry on fine...though I know it hasn't. Windows seems to install fine BUT...yup, you guessed it, explorer crashes and blue ssreens often spotted.

I am stumped. This card has singlehandedly ****ed my system. Absolutley any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds bad :{

The only help I can offer is to point you in the direction of the Team Fortress Classic (http://faster.wireplay.net/forumdisplay.php?forumid=119&daysprune=) boards and ask the same question to a guy called Dr Kazza.

I know he bought a Radeon 64mb card to go inside his PC which was on an Asus board and it crashed repeatedly. He never did manage to solve his problems but he might be able to point you at the documentation he gathered during his efforts.

Alternativly, contact me and I'll put you in touch with him.
