Wide Screen TVs

Are they the future? I hate 'em!
Give me a nice 38" square TV anyday.

Seriously though. Do you think by 2005 everyone will have widescreen TVs? A lot of TV shows now are broadcast in widescreen, DVDs come in widescreen.
Clearly it looks like this is the way we are goin'

I have a 28" Widescreen Telly in my bedroom for watching DVDs on.

I love them, and I prefer watching Widescreen versions of films over their pan & scan counterparts.

When I had my old 4:3 tv, I always switched it to 16:9. Really hated that sqaureness :)

WS really is a step in the right direction, Big Al, have you actually used a WS TV, or just had a 4:3 with a WS film on it?

Just wondering if thats the reason for hating WS...

ah Big Al, you wCw loving fool, I see your hatred, for TV widescreen sucks but digital is moving towards it, in a few years widescreen will be the proper format unt it will not look stretched like it does now, but for DVD's it is the biz
