pIII overclocking

Can anybody help me with small overclocking question?
Why, when I had a pIII 450mhz I could overclock it to 550mhz with no problems (although it will not go any further). But now I have a pIII 550 mhz it will only go to 600mhz. both processers are on the same system.
Any ideas? thx

The limit for the P3 Katami process is around 600MHz so your 550 will not go much above that unless you intend to use more extreme cooling. A coppermine P3 would have gone much higher.
