Has any1 seen these http://www.normadworld.com well i bought one on the 29th and by the time i got home with it the comp was DEAD, so no i have a state of the art MP3 player and no USB connection.

The main computer wont turn on! it was fine untill my dad put and blanck CD in to copy a Music disk and it froze so he hit reset and it just sat pre bios cheaks no beeps and no video output!!

we took out all the not needed cards still the same! The second comp has an identical GFX card so we swapped them and the second comp worked fine! we swapped the memory round second worked fine again!

we are hopeing the it could be sumit to do with the PSU(4-5 years old:E ) so are putting the main comp in to the new tower (we were due a major upgade so anyway) if you guys come up dry!

so can anybody have guess what it might be!(sorry bout the long post)

sounds like the PSU, does the PSU fan do a 1/4 turn or anything when you first turn the power on at the mains?

if the PSU is 4-5 years old then it's getting on a bit, it might be worth nicking the PSU from your other machine and trying it in the busted one to check.

I would really have to agree the PSU is the most likely culprit.

well i think my dad will be putting the whole thing in to the new case today. I will let you know. He seems convinced that the Mobo is dead. I think he may be trying to get round mum to get the upgrade now:E

could be a dead/damaged cpu, if you can try a known working cpu of the same type.
