Which PC?

Ah evening all, I am thinking about two PCs Ive seen and cant make my mind up about specs and price.

First up is a Gateway2000 1000mhz Athlon with 256SDRAM, GeForce2 GTS 32MB RAM, 20GIG, 16XDVD, 17" and a 20GIG HD, Price is 1372 quid, A nice spec PC I thought and the price isnt bad, I looked at Dell as well...

...P4 1400mhz, 128 Rambus RDRAM, TNT2 32MB, 20GIG, 12X DVD, 17" moniter, Clabs 64 Voice sound card or something and a 1440 quid Price tag..

The Gateway seems to be my first choice, but that 1.4 GIG is very attractive, Which do you think is better for gaming and will last the longest in the terms of upgrading?

Ignore the P4

It'll be overpriced and i doubt it will perform well (i think they stripped it of some important parts to keep the price down), from what i've heard with current software (not optimised for the p4) it can perform worse than a p3 1gig, let alone a t-bird 1gig.

Also the T-bird has more ram, better DVD and a much better video card.
