I have just installed 3d prophet II mx onto my athlon 800, 64mb ram cpu and I cannot play cs. It connects to the server fine and carries on to 'precaching resources' and 'done precaching resources' but then stops.
My old graphics card was an ati rageII and it worked fine with software drivers. With the new card i have tried D3D, openGL and software drivers and none seem to work. I have the 6.35 prophet drivers from the 'hercules' website. Would the nvidia drivers be better?
On some resolution settings the loading screen is completely flickery and blurred, is this to do with the resolution?
Is there something i need to change in the D3D or openGL settings to make it work.
If anyone could help me out with correct settings or tell me how they have their card set up i would be grateful as i am getting cs withdrawal. thanks.
