My Explorer optical mouse buttons keep sticking so got a Logitech MouseMan Wheel optical.

The fourth button can be defined thru the mouseware software provided but it seems to ignore it on all settings except CTRL and SHIFT in games. I can change to these but it sticks CTRL or SHIFT up in box when pressed even in the game and "loses" quick presses (probably cos expecting another key press ?)

Anyone know how to get the normal keys, id Page Down to work on this mouse ?

Logitech web is useless. :(
I have updated to latest version of the mouseware drivers. 9.24

I've got the same mouse.

U need to d/l the MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS from Logitech. Clicking on the following url will take u to the d/l:

http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/mousefiles_w98.cfm

D/l the MOUSE REGISTRY FILE FOR GAMERS. Once it's d/led simply double click the icon & it will update ur registry making it possible for games to access the wheel & 4th mouse button in games.

Restart ur computer once installed. Then edit ur controls in ur games (the 4th button should now be recognised.) Save ur settings & then reboot again b4 testing them out in the game - as i have found that some games will not recognise the new mouse setting until it's been rebooted.

Hope it works out for u.

Btw, I've presumed ur using Windows 98 - if ur using Win ME or Win 2000 u'll need to use a different d/l.

Cheers, I'll try it again.

I read about that and thought it meant something else though, I'll try tonight.

I went to d/l that but it kept asking for login id :( tried anonymous but would not work. Will do again later.

Edit:
Noticed on readme it only changes a registry field, will do manually :) Hopefully work although not really impressed with mouse atm.
