i just recently got a soundblaster live 1024, and have installed the latest drivers from creative, plus the liveware! 3, from creative too
on bootup i get the following "program" loaded up

"DEVLDR16.exe" and sometimes i get a error message related to this program, which i cant knock off or cancel forcing me to reboot

how can i stop this from happening?

if i press cntrl, alt del then end the task, i dont notice ANY difference, and i dont get errors

so i thought to myself, ill try going to programs>accessories>systemtools>systeminformation>then tools, then startup options, so i can disable windows from loading it on boot

so i did and i booted back up and its made another, so i cannot disable it from boot

is it the drivers or what, cos im really confused

some please helpo me!

Uninstall ALL the SB Live drivers
Logically remove the soundcard from Device Manager
Reboot
When the Windows finds the SB Live again to install the drivers, select custom and install everything except the 'SB16 Dos Emulation' software.

I reckon that this is the cause of your problems.

Good Luck.

i also had the same prob m8,q2 would keep pausing and buggering up big time..
i did the ctrl, alt del and shut it down
i then went to windows/system folder and deleted it from there aswell and have experienced no problems so far.
