Have any of you ever read the epic that was Zenith.
I know a lot of you seem to read x-men a lot and it came to me that it was a similer type of situation with
the superhumans on earth (mind you theres no hard core alternate reality physics in the x-men).

Someone said there was a scrip being written for the x men which featured magneto destroying the white house.
It just reminded me when the dark gods wrenched the earth off its axis and killed everyone on earth.

If ever I got any money Id like to turn that into a film.

Its got a better twist in it at the end that puts films
like the sixth sense/fight club to shame.

I remember reading Zenith in 2000ad, Steve Yeowell art was rather apt. A nice mixing of some classic british comic charactors with a great storyline & art. :E

Yeah, Zenith is still probably one of my all time favourite superhero stories. Morrison and Yeowill formed a perfect team on this one. The storyline was complex, utilising a varied and morally ambiguous cast of heroes, and the art was dark and brutal.

I can still remember the battle with (Maximan? - the Nazi supervillian) outside the tube station in London. That kind of battle I'd love to see on the big screen.

It's so annoying that such a classic piece of work isn't out there on the shelves in trade paperback form. Young 'uns today don't know what they're missing.

Well they did reprint [ in colour ] a range of 2000ad charactor/stories/titles in comic format for the USA a few years back including some of the Zenith storyline.

As far as I remember they did collect Zenith as a few Graphic Novels, if not as a whole tradepaperback, along the lines of Phase 1 GN, etc.

What happened to all the reprints, they used to do almost every story on reprint (was it titan that did em)
but they've all dissapeared.
I really want the Halo Jones novels, (now that too would make a great movie).

In fact 2000ad in genral is a great source for Film stuff.

Anyone checked out the the press and media site
