DVD free software decoder

can anyone recomend a software decoder for a dvd CD ROM, just bought the drive but I did nto get the software with it.

As i remember http://www.overclockers.co.uk has a free decoder, in there downloads section.

I think he means an app to play DVDs (a la WinDVD etc), not bypass region codes.

DVD drives purchased from shops always have DVD apps. If not, go back and get the cd that should have come with it. It should come with drivers at the very least.

Failing that you can always use the Win98 DVD player.

Run a search for a file called dvdplay.exe on your hdd or Win98 CD.
