When I open task manager Mdm (microsoft debug manager i think) is running in the background and I really do not want it there. It has stared appearing since I installed MS Visual C++ for my university work. It is not in the startup folder and msconfig shows no mention of it in the usuall registry areas. It is not in my autoexec.bat or config.sys either. So how is it loading itself into memory? I have not ran Visual C++, it appears as soon is I load Windows (but not always).
This is really bugging me now as it often pops up when I'm surfing the net saying 'this page has errors, do you wish to debug?" or somthing like that. It can pop up many times before a page has fully loaded.

Please help if you can, it's driving me nutts!

If you go into internet options, advanced tab and check the box to disable script debugging that might be what yer after.

Thanks a lot mate. My hair can start growing back now. I did not think to look there as i did not realise that it was IE that was invoking it.

Cheers to ya.
