hey,

I am a webmaster @ this site: http://www.farmilo.freeserve.co.uk/inthenet/

We are re-locating the website, and are getting CGI access ect., but we would like to have a Search form that would allow you to search for players names, ratings and clubs ect., but to do thsi I guess we would need a database, where can I get a simple one, or how do i amke one, and how do I edit it? Also,m how do i get the Search form to look through the database?

I was told by a friend that DBMan, from Gossamer Threads: http://www.gossamer-threads.com was the best, cos It's an all0-in one, is this the right decisions, and is it easy to set-up?

Tiger.

I use DBMan extensively throughout my site and it's pretty good. Took me a while to get it the way I wanted both in looks and functionality (I've used a lot of hacks to get all the features I wanted).

Is it easy to st-up you ask?.. Well it depends how experienced you are with scripts. Getting the thing up and running in it's basic form isn't difficult, but getting it set-up the way you want will take a bit of time, but that would be true for any other script you wanted to use.

Cheers,

Chas
