Heat probably.

Far superior film, and has some great audio effects.

MI:2 is complete and utter saggy piss-stained :pants:

Avoid at all costs!

Heat is a quality film, not too overstated (it is a Robert De Niro movie, after all);)

MI:2 is a bit of a shallow film in terms of actual story and plot, however some of the actual stunts are incredible and the making of (the stunts) is fantastic as are the other extras all in all though a pretty shameless destruction of the mission impossible franchise

Heat on the other hand is a good film but I couldn't help feeling that LA Takedown, the film of which Heat is a modern day version is better. Although featuring unknown actors there is something more gritty and edgy about the actors performances in LA Takedown and it is also available at a very low price on DVD. One should note that they are both directed by Michael Mann and are both directed around the exact same script. I already own both of the films on video so wouldn't obviously buy them on DVD, as they aren't that good. I take it you already have the Gladiator movie (film of the year without a doubt an absolute classic and it has some of the best fight scenes/stunts ever shot)

The disc quality on LA Takedown is totally crap. Avoid it at all costs. The film itself isn't bad but its impossible to enjoy due to the lousy quality. Get Heat, if only for THAT gunfight.....

How about T2?

Heat is an excellent film but not the best DVD transfer in the world as it was done very early (its not actually bad but its nothing special whereas T2 most definitely is). I would expect this film to be done as a special edition as it was a modern classic.

Also consider Ronin for superb car chases and gunfights.
