OZ - never seen it, any good?

made by HBO, so I expect it to be a bit hard hitting.
It's being reshown of E4, but is it worth watching ?

I thought it was OK though it was on so late I didn't manage to catch it regularly. If it's on E4 (and Sky actually say they're going to carry the channel) I'll be trying to tune in....

I think it's excellent. I started watching from series 2 and it's like seeing a car crash -- it's disturbing as hell but you just can't take your eyes away. Despite the characters all generally being murderous scumbags you still end up drawn into the events to see who comes out on top.

It's rare for a TV show to come along that can shock and surprise me. Oz does both on a regular basis.

its like Prisnor Cell block H for the new millenium ( which is a good thing ... I think ), It is a VERY watchable show ( like the sopranos ) but was on C4 far too late on a weekend to really get any veiwers - although what I did see was very good

4th Ghostbuster Winston Zedmore was in it !

It's excellent!

The characters are all very intriguing, played well by some superb actors, and storylines are pretty varied (considering it takes place in a prison) and carried along by a superb and cleverly written narrative (an Everyman perspective of one inmate).

I must admit that I only caught the first 2 series but they were pretty compelling, and very very gritty.

Oh and it has Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and the bloke who played Marigold in In Sickness and in Health, oh and the guy who plays Tobias Beechem was the guy in Wayne's World who always said "I love you man!"

What more could you want from a show? :E
