Its about the TFC message board, and the empty moderator slot. I'd be mui gratefull if you could set up a vote script, you can get one from www.cgiforme.com (http://www.cgiforme.com) so that we can vote for our new moderator...

Jiveman,

There's a typo in your autoexec.cfg (part of your downloadable TFC config). It says :-

puchlatency -75

Bad idea Jiveman m8 - those things are just TOO easy to fix. Even the most advanced ones only use IP and cookie tracking to ensure no one vote twice - so anyone who is smart enough to reconnect to their dynamic-IP ISP and delete their cookies can vote as many times as they like.

This sort of thing is absolutely fine for polls whereby no one gains anything by fixing them - but it's a bad idea to use them for important decisions like moderator votes etc. I am using the message board to allow people to vote for new admins as profiles can't be faked - I have limited it to people with a profile started before the vote was announced - thus anyone who sets up a new profile to vote twice will be rumbled http://www.wireplay.co.uk/ubb/teeth.gif
