Lo all
i was wondering if any of you lot can help me :)

i have got a
Athlon 500 750 chipset SLOT A (yeah one of the early ones)
ADI 6P 19" monitor
Geforce256 DDR 32MB

i keep getting a fuzzy screen at certian res.. and when more menus come up on the screen.. it gets even more fuzzy, its fine on the windows desktop but when i play a game on certian resalutions it goes all fuzzy, it happens in 800x600 in UT and all the time in a OpenGL program
I posted this ages back, but everybody kept saying its the refresh rate, but i still think it is, its set to 85hetz and it still does this. I even put it lower and the fuzzyness hasent gone ;(

I have heard that there were problems with the 750 and 751 northbridge and southbridge chips that there is a problem with them in and there was a patch out that could fix it, the AGP mini port i think it is. I downloaded the AMD patch pack of their web site which had, a IDE controller patch, AMD AGP Minitport patch and some other stuff, that fecked my PC up, kept crashing and i had to format the bloody thing

i will hope somebody will reply to this message :)

Cheers

Only thing I could suggest is to narrow down the possibilities. Got a mate with a PC? take it round his house and give it a whirl, if it still does it your monitor needs looking at if it don't then it's probably your graphics card.

Ok, should be a PC or graphics card problem.

What version of detonators drivers you running? I know there was a bug with some beta versions and Win2k leaving a nasty fuzzy shadow or some hard edges, maybe your getting a similar problem. Anything in the pci slot next to the agp one you've got the geforce plugged into that might be causing inteferance.
