Could someone help me setup my win 2k network properly plz?

it consists of 4 PCs:

2000 machine (server)
3 Win 98se PCs (clients)

all are connected by a 10Base2 ethernet connections and run using MS client for networks, file n print sharing, TCP/IP, IPX and NETBIOS.

problem is that it is very slow and TCP games quit on the 2k machine with 'Send Packet: NO ERROR' (or something like that).

i don't have a clue how networking works under 2k and it works fine when just the 98 pcs r connected!?!

if anyone runs a similar network could you give me some proper settings or info to make it work?

For a start dump all unused protocols, if it's just gaming then you could get away with just tcp/ip, if your doing some file and print sharing then keep Netbios/Netbeui as it makes things easier but unless your running Novell anywhere along there then dump ips/spx straight away. You can also fiddle with what protocol/service is used first, right click on my network places then choose advanced then advanced settings and change the priorities to suit your needs. Also whilst you've got the window open check the properties of the network card etc...

Lastly but most importantly write down the error message exactly and bung it on here, that way we can check to see if it's a problem been encountered before on Win2k, also you applied Service pack 1?
