NEED ADVICE ON ATHLON PROCESSOR!

Im planning on upgrading my P2 233 to a ATHLON 1.2GHz but i heard from someone that bought an ATHLON PC that he couldnt run any games on it cos of his processor being an ATHLON... i found this a bit odd but i dont want to fork out £470 on stuff to upgrade my PC just to find out the processor wont run my games... i also heard there was suposed to be patches to fix this prob... so if you would be so kind as to answer these questions 8)

1. Is there any compatability probs with games and the ATHLON? (ANY GAMES AT ALL)

2. If there is a prob...Is there any patches to fix this prob and where can i find them?

3. is it worth getting an ATHLON 1.2Ghz? >8)

People told me that too, but i think that was only in the early days, all of the games i have had run on Athlons, and the future games will aswell.

You should have no problems with any games

You should also get a new graphics card if u haven't got a decent one, otherwise u won't be getting the best out of your chip
