there are so many of these 'moments of' shows on tv at the minute ( thee were 2 on tonight !!! ) - but the question is why do the makers fill them with minor 'D' list celebrites who nobody gives a flying rats ass about ?

/me throws the Predators disk at Johnny Vegas & Arabella Weir

& how do they go about booking these people -

TV channel - Hello we would like one of your cheapest celebreties ( & I use that in the loosest of terms ) to talk complete b0ll0cks on a ' nsert programmes topic here' for about 2 minutes

Agent - ah never fear I can have 6 ex-comedians, 4 VH1 presenters & a failed 80's popster at your studio in about 15 mins

TV CHannel - Super

I thought that program on BBC2 tonight about 1980 was excellent, ok minor celebs maybe but I was reminded of so much that I had long forgotten. I just like these type of shows I guess!

As I think you are a fellow tim, I'll just mention this on your post:) Did you notice how the top 100 showed man utd. winning the European cup but didn't mention celtic, even though they were the first BRITISH team to win it.:(
I't always the same with things like this, if it's not a great english sporting moment then it doesn't get in.

I missed the first 10 mins though so I really hope they didn't mention it during that time:homer:

im not dissing the programmes as the subject nature is quite good, just the need for these denzians of society to give us their opinions - I mean last week they had some stupid f()cks slagging off Lady in Red. Grrrr. Although if they do an 80's show & fail to mention either Rocky 3, A-Team or Transformers then I am going to be very pissed off

although I am not scotish like the great seen canery I do like Celtic, & their moment shouldve been there cos they didnt use ANY foreign players at all. Its the same with anything outside England - look at all the fuss the main tabloids gave the London Lord Mayor job last year just cos they are all based in London, most people couldnt even giva a toss

P.S I HATE MAN URE

the program I watched tonight was for 1980 only, next week it will be 1981. I guess the programs you mentioned may come up in a slightly later year?

London mayor...yep you're right, couldn't give a toss!:vheese:

yeah I saw most of it - at least they had my favourite villain of 1980 - Larry Hagman aka JR Ewing !!!

/me puts on 10 gallon hat & lights a fat cigar to JR's rivallry with the infernal Cliff Barnes

( Cliff = President WTF ? )
